6. Validation. THE REPRESENTATION OF THE PEOPLE (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1989 ACT NO. 21 OF 1989 [22nd May, 1989.] An Act further to amend the Representation of the People Act, 1950
All things done and all steps taken, before the commencement of this section, in relation to the preparation or revision of electoral rolls under Part III of the principal Act in the year 1989 shall, in so far as they are in conformity with the provisions of the principal Act, as amended by sections 3 and 4 of this Act, be deemed to have been done or taken under the principal Act as amended by those sections as if the principal Act as so amended was in force at the time such things were done or such steps were taken. 1.
